Mrs. Christine Dolce
I am starting my third year as the instrumental music director at The Academy of St. Bartholomew, where 40% of eligible students participate in the wonderful band program. I have a BME from Baldwin-Wallace as well as a Master of Music and a Master of Arts from Kent State, where I maintained a Faculty Brass Quintet performance assistantship.
For years, I have played trumpet professionally in the Cleveland area, frequently performing at Playhouse Square and as a St. John’s Cathedral staff musician. I have also performed, composed, and arranged for the Cleveland Lyric Brass quartet, of which I was a founding member. My brass quartet and I have been in residence at Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pa. and have been OAC recitalists. I have also been chairperson of the OMEA District 4 Honors Festival as well as its executive committee member representing private and parochial schools.
My educational goal is to achieve excellence through the love of music, while nurturing Catholic values. I am proud to be part of the St. Bartholomew team and anticipate teaching more and more students to “play a joyful song unto the Lord.”
