Mrs. Sarah Castrigano
A lifelong artist with a passion for the natural sciences, Mrs. Castrigano found her niche in realism and scientific illustration with a focus on botanicals. After completing her Associate of Arts, she went on to obtain an Associate of Applied Science in Horticulture to deepen her understanding of the plant sciences and to better inform her artwork. She is well versed in many artistic mediums including drawing, painting, photography, glass blowing and sculpture and has worked independently as an artist doing commissioned projects.
As an Art Teacher, she seeks to educate, encourage and inspire the artistic achievements of the Academy of St. Bartholomew students. An avid learner and lover of books, she also manages the Academy Library. She is committed to providing beautiful and enriching spaces in which students will have opportunities to discover and achieve their individual potential.
